| Backcountry 101 - Backcountry Horsemanship and Packing
Coming in the Spring of 2003
Granny Martin Museum, near Descanso (off Japatul Road, just south of I-8)
Event Chairperson: Marty Jorgenson
About once a year we hold a day-long public workshop for backcountry users. Classes include vet care on the trail, emergency farriery, camp cooking, and gentle use on the trail.
Previous "Backcountry 101" clinics have been a great success, and this one will be even bigger and better - more hands-on learning, more workshops, more demonstrations. Great food and great fun.
Best of all, it's FREE, and open to everyone!
In an effort to introduce as many people as possible to backcountry skills and ethics we are inviting everyone to participate in Backcountry 101 at no charge. So bring the family, invite all your barn buddies, riding students, 4H group, breed association... Watch for the dates here - we hope to see you there!
