CRHT Trail Work with SDMBA and SDCTC

TRAILWORK on the California Riding & Hiking Trail southern section

Saturday May 5th - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Come and join SDMBA and the San Diego County Trails Council on Saturday,
May 5th for a work party near Loveland Reservoir. We will be cutting back brush and repairing trail tread damaged by rains and fire. We will be working from 9:00 am to about 1:00 pm.

Bring the usual: sturdy shoes, ample drinking water, eye protection, sunscreen, a pair of gardening gloves and a light lunch. All of the necessary tools and training will be provided. Directions are listed below.

From San Diego, go east on Highway 8 to Alpine. Exit at Tavern Road and turn right. Continue heading south. The road name will change to Japatul after about 3 miles, but keep going straight. After about one more mile, you will see the parking lot for the lake on your right. Park there. The trailhead is nearby.
