Caballeros del Sol's Wish List
Our unit puts on backcountry use clinics, and has booths at fairs and other events, where we educate others about trail manners and good backcountry practices.
When we are able, we sponsor our members in attending trails conferences, statewide BCHC meetings, and other events where they either acquire knowledge to benefit our work, or represent our interests.
We also do fun-raisers to help pay for printing, booth space, transportation and so on. We do not use the funds we raise to pay for our own meetings and social events.
We would like to present a more professional image than our current card-table-and-umbrella look, further enhanced by hand-written cardboard signs. To that end, we are hoping some kind persons and/or companies can provide us with the following items:
- 4 folding conference-type tables (about 3' x 8')
- 4 matching tableclothes (or sheets), preferably dark green or blue
- A 12 x 12 stand-alone canopy / shelter
- A vinyl banner with our unit name and logo (we have the artwork)
- 24 used horse shoes, to use as paper weights for literature
- Printing / Copying ( free? discounted? ) for 1-sided, B/W literature
- A whiteboard and marker set (for menus, info board, etc.)
- Large ice chest with wheels (for selling sodas at events)
- Small plastic manure fork (for fishing sodas out of deep ice-water!)
